Definitely, yes. Laser hair removal works even on very dark hair. The starker the contrast between the hair and skin colour, the faster the result will be achieved.

Laser hair removal is not forbidden during sunny weather, but extra care should be observed. We recommend to avoid starting laser hair removal on face area in the summer and to postpone it until autumn. In summer laser hair removal can be done on areas that are not subject to direct sunlight, for example, armpits, bikini and similar areas.

If laser hair removal is performed on open body areas, for example, arms, legs, face and other, you should avoid sunbathing for at least two weeks before and after the procedure. It is essential to use at least SPF 30 (50 is even better) sunscreen not only on the treated areas, but on all areas that are touched by the Sun.

You do not need to grow out hair before and between the procedures. You can shave the hair with a razor or cut them it scissors.

Epilation is also allowed, however, you should avoid hair epilation methods that traumatise the hair follicle, for example, waxing, sugaring and other similar methods.

The number of procedure depends on the several factors, including the treatment area.

• The average number of required procedures is 6.
• However, our alexandrite laser will provide visible and sensible results after the first procedure.
• Four procedures might be enough for the armpit area.
• Other areas require 6 procedures on average, sometimes 8.

It is important that the INTERVAL between procedures is 4-6 weeks. For your convenience, we will agree on the precise schedule of visits in person, during your first procedure.

We are often asked about pain relief for laser hair removal. We use a new unique technology alexandrite laser and it means that you do not need pain relief at all. However, some of our clients still worry before their first procedure due to their experience with other lasers. For your comfort and peace of mind we provide pain relief in our studio.

How do you think, how often did we have to use pain relief? Not once! We have not touched our pain relief medication! This due to the fact that our alexandrite laser procedures are not only efficient and safe, but are also painless and comfortable!

• It is recommended to book the procedure at least 2 weeks in advance to guarantee your desired date and time.
• It is forbidden to sunbathe two weeks before and after the procedure.
• Avoid other hair removal methods that damage the follicle, such as waxing, sugaring, epilator or electric epilation devices, etc. for at least 2-3 weeks before the procedure.
• Be careful with medication, especially antibiotics, antidepressants and hormonal substances. If you use any medication, the procedure should be rescheduled or you should consult our experts, since the medication can affect the procedure and results.
• Do not use deodorants, oils, creams and alcohol-containing lotions on the areas to be treated.
• It is not recommended to use self-tanning products 7-10 days before the session.
• Prior to the procedure all areas which will be treated with the laser must be shaved (except face).

• First procedure removes up to 40 to 80% of hair in the active growth stage.
• Rapid hair growth might be observed 3-4 days after the procedure – this is the so called fake hair growth. This effect is caused by hair that gradually exit the hair follicles.

To achieve the best possible results, we recommend:

1. Avoid sunbathing and sunbeds for two weeks after the procedure.
2. Open body areas should be regularly covered with SPF 30 (50 is even better) products.
3. During the first 24 hours after the procedure avoid going to sauna (overheating can negatively impact your skin) and pool (chloride can cause skin irritation).
4. For 48 hours after the procedure avoid from going to the gym and strenuous physical activities.
5. Do not use cosmetic products with active ingredients (acids, retinol, enzymes, etc.), also avoid from using scrubs and peeling on treated areas for 4-5 days.
6. On the day of the procedure do not use deodorants in armpit area to avoid irritation.
7. Choose comfortable clothing to avoid from abrasion on the treated areas.

The pricing is provided as a price range due to the fact that the final price depends on the treated area size (cm2). In most cases the procedure costs reach the average price, however, the price cost can be determined only during the first procedure.

Summary:

• Avoid sunbathing for two weeks.
